Chief Operating Officer
Neelan’s responsibility involves the oversight and management of all operational areas within Momentum Manager of Managers and includes the portfolio administration, HR, risk management, IT, legal, compliance and implementation departments. He has 13 years experience within the financial-services industry, of which his initial three years were spent project consulting to financial-services organisations on system and process re-engineering initiatives. Another seven years were spent at a large commercial bank in various roles and capacities ranging from project manager, business analyst, test analyst, product manager and project accountant. Neelan’s stay at the bank saw him gain valid experience and exposure across the various business units including electronic banking, IT, finance, corporate, business banking and, finally, investment banking. His project experience relates to medium and large-scale, multi-million rand projects involving solution development, automation and business process re-engineering. Neelan holds a diploma in IT, a MAP certificate from the Wits Business School and a MBA degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.
